Last year, Shanga had the privilege of supporting the artisans at the Maasai Boma near Tarangire Treetops by sending one of our talented beaders to offer training, share new techniques, and help refine their beautiful craft.

This year, just before peak season, the ladies at the Boma reached out once more — asking if we might return for a top-up training session. Of course, we said yes.

We sent Happy, one of our incredible team members, and the experience was nothing short of special. As a fellow woman and artist, she connected deeply with the ladies at the Boma. They exchanged stories, skills, laughter — and as you can see from the photos, the joy was mutual.

The bond between Shanga and this Boma is a meaningful one. Our shared roots go deep, and it’s always an honour to work together, uplift each other, and create something lasting — not just in craft, but in community.

Asanteni sana to the wonderful women of the Boma for welcoming us again with such warmth. And to Happy — thank you for going with your whole heart.
