At Shanga, we’ve always believed that the real magic happens when people come together—not just to work, but to connect, to grow, and to understand each other more deeply. Our recent team building wasn’t just an event—it was a two-day celebration of inclusion, creativity, and what makes us us. Thoughtfully planned, professionally delivered, and filled with laughter, it was an experience to remember.
This wouldn’t have been possible without Nabila, who poured her whole heart into every detail. From months of preparation to making sure every game had purpose and every voice was heard, her care and vision turned what could have been a routine activity into something truly meaningful. Because of her, we didn’t just play games—we made memories, bridged gaps, and strengthened bonds across departments, abilities, languages, and roles.
Every challenge brought both laughter and learning. We tackled creative group activities, including a competition to build beautiful hanging glass mobiles—complete with surprise prizes! Interactive games and hands-on projects encouraged everyone to step outside their usual roles and discover something new.
One of the most powerful aspects of the event was the opportunity to experience each other’s worlds.
Glassblowers became weavers. Beaders tried glassblowing. Team members who use wheelchairs explored new workspaces. There were no time limits, no pressure—just curiosity, encouragement, and genuine connection. It was moving to see teammates coaching one another, sharing skills, and gaining a new appreciation for the craft, patience, and passion that go into each other’s work.
Thanks to a professional photographer, all those big and small moments—the joy, the laughter, the learning—were beautifully captured, so we can revisit them again and again.
We walked away from those two days more connected, more inspired, and with a deeper appreciation for everything each person brings to Shanga. The team is still talking about it!
